Dr. Jena Peterson, ND

Medical Director

Much of my life has been spent in the pursuit of physical health. From an early age, I trained as a swimmer, competing at the state level. In my early college career, I focused on water polo and bodybuilding.

Physical fitness and health were key components of my life that provided me with friendship, stress relief, and a whole lot of fun! When my own chronic illness short circuited this for me, it was highly frustrating and scary.

At the time, I was pursuing my undergraduate degree in pre-med studies. I reached out to our finest specialists to find relief from my illness – rotating to different doctors and receiving a variety of diagnoses for over a year. After trying in vain to seek answers, I was devastated to learn that the expert advice was to accept my limitations and live with them. I was not willing to take that as my final answer!

I was introduced to Naturopathic Medicine at that time by a friend. As someone who had been planning a career in medicine, I was stumped as to what this was and why I had never heard of it. I anxiously and skeptically scheduled the appointment with a naturopathic doctor.

My hope was not misplaced. The naturopathic physician took time with me, and through multiple visits and some lab work, we were able to get to the root cause of my illness. With time and some hard work, I recovered fully from my chronic fatigue, and have not experienced it again. Naturopathic medicine saved me from a lifetime of medications and limitations.

I like to use my story to illustrate the hope and healing that can be found at Full Circle Natural Medicine. I have an incredible team of doctors and practitioners at my clinic to help each patient find optimal health to live the full life they deserve.

I spend my free time with my children and husband Brendan, practicing Capoeira (a Brazilian martial art), boxing, skiing, hiking, motorcycling, and generally looking for moments to breathe and enjoy the fullness of life! I look forward to helping you recover your health and enjoy the fullness of YOUR life!
