Claire Zimmerman

ND, RH(AHG)

 A licensed Naturopathic primary care Physician and clinical herbalist specializing in chronic illness, environmental medicine, and mental health. She provides comprehensive Naturopathic care by partnering with patients to identify root causes of disease and develop individualized, evidence-informed treatment plans that support long-term healing.

Dr. Zimmerman is experienced in evaluating complex, multi-system conditions and is known for her ability to clarify overlapping and confusing symptom patterns. Her clinical approach emphasizes focused, streamlined care, using minimal medications and supplements whenever appropriate. She integrates multiple Naturopathic and mind-body modalities and frequently treats patients with chronic or unresolved health conditions.

Her areas of clinical specialization include mold illness, autoimmune disease, chronic digestive disorders, environmental toxin and heavy metal exposure, women’s health, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), mind-body medicine, and general Naturopathic primary care. Dr. Zimmerman has advanced training in craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, hydrotherapy, biofeedback, and homeopathy.

Dr. Zimmerman earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University. She is certified in clinical herbalism through the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Anthropology from Colorado College. She has completed advanced post-graduate clinical training through Environmental Medicine Education International, with additional specialized training in homeopathy from the New England School of Homeopathy, visceral manipulation through the Barral Institute, advanced mold illness training under Dr. Jill Christa, hydrotherapy/balneology training through Kneipp School of Physiotherapy in Bad Worishofen, Germany and constitutional hydrotherapy with Letitia Dick Kronenberg of the Carroll Institute of Natural Healing.

 

With over 20 years of experience as a clinical herbalist, Dr. Zimmerman incorporates herbal medicine into patient care when clinically appropriate. Her practice is grounded in the mind-body connection and the impact of environmental factors on health, allowing her to deliver personalized, integrative Naturopathic medicine.

 

Dr. Zimmerman is adjunct faculty at Bastyr University. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, hiking, backpacking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
